Where storage projects lose capital

Isolated specialist planning is the biggest risk for large-scale storage. Inconsistencies between delivery scopes lead to catastrophic delays.

  1. Incomplete scopes

    When delivery boundaries between construction, electrical works and the grid operator blur, change orders explode. We define watertight interfaces up front.

  2. Grid connection and connection guidelines

    Grid operators' specific requirements and complex PQ requirements (VDE-AR-N-4110/4120/4130) are often recognised too late. We check these parameters proactively.

  3. Trade synchronisation

    Civil works, medium voltage and secondary systems often operate in silos. We orchestrate the schedules and uncover inconsistencies before construction progress stalls.

The three-phase safety net

Three phases in which technical decisions become irreversible. In each of them we check against the standard and against your capital, not against a supplier's interest.

  1. Load profile analysis and assessment of grid capacity at the connection point. Short-circuit and load flow calculation, harmonic forecast. Optimisation of the single line diagram. Review of supplier documentation for compliance with standards - before the contract is awarded.

  2. Technical site supervision against the approved design. Continuous interface planning between trades. Claim and variation management on documented technical grounds rather than on negotiating skill.

  3. Commissioning coordination, support through unit certification, verification measurement to FGW TR3. Power quality measurement at the operating point. The plant goes onto the grid because it is demonstrably compliant.

Project recovery

When the project stalls before the storage plant stands.

Deadlocked negotiations, disputed supply boundaries, looming contractual penalties: what is missing in these situations is rarely an opinion, but an independent measurement. At short notice we step in as a neutral technical authority, record the actual condition of the plant and put the facts on the table on which negotiations can resume. We represent no supplier - including ourselves as one.
